TEHRAN - Iran swept past Egypt in straight sets (25-21, 25-19, 25-17) on Saturday in the 2023 World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup final.

 Iran had defeated Japan 3-0, Algeria 3-0, Iraq 3-0 and Ukraine 3-0.

Germany also defeated Ukraine 3-2 to win the bronze medal. 

The World Cup is a Paris 2024 Paralympic qualifier, where one berth per gender is available for the winners or the highest placed non-qualified team of the tournament.

France (hosts), Iran, and Brazil had previously booked their place in the Paralympics.

Hosts Egypt secured their place in the Paralympics as the silver medalists.
